Sir David F. Hendry is

Economics. Professor of Economics in the Economics Department, University of Oxford, he is also an Official Fellow at Nuffield College, a Fellow of the British Academy, the Royal Society of Edinburgh, and the Econometric Society, Honorary Vice-President of the Royal Economic Society and Foreign Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American Economic Association. Previously a Professor of Econometrics at the London School of Economics, Professor Hendry gained an MA in Economics at the Aberdeen University, an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Econometrics at the London School of Economics. Professor Hendry has pioneered research on the theory and the methodology of econometric modeling and forecasting.
