Reforming the International Monetary System

Bio

Reza Moghadam is currently Director of the Department of Strategy, Policy, and Review at the International Monetary Fund. His department is responsible for developing IMF's policies and overseeing their application at country level. His department also coordinates IMF's interactions with G-7, G-20, and G-24. Prior to taking up his current position, he was Head of the Managing Directorís office for three years serving both Rodrigo de Rato and Dominique Strauss-Kahn. He has previously worked in both the European and the Asia-Pacific departments of the Fund, including as the Fund's Mission Chief for Turkey between 2003 and 2005. Mr. Moghadam earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics at Oxford University, a masterís degree at the London School of Economics, and a PhD in economics at the University of Warwick.
